Dental Bridges in Spring

Dental Bridges Still Have an Important Place

illustration of a dental bridgeMissing a tooth changes more than your smile. It changes how you chew, how you talk, sometimes even how your other teeth shift and settle over time. A dental bridge fixes that by anchoring a custom prosthetic to the teeth on either side of the gap, literally bridging the space where a tooth used to be.

Implants get most of the attention these days, and for good reason, they help preserve the bone underneath. But bridges haven’t gone anywhere. Cost, timing, or just wanting something familiar, there are real reasons patients still choose them over an implant. Dr. Landry and the team will walk you through what actually fits your situation, your smile, and your budget, not just whatever’s trendiest at the moment.

What to Expect During the Process

Here’s how it goes in practice. During your first visit, we take detailed digital impressions of your mouth, no goopy trays involved. Those impressions get sent off to a trusted dental lab, where technicians build a custom bridge designed to match your natural teeth in both color and shape. About two to three weeks later, you’re back in the chair so we can place the final restoration and fine-tune the fit until it feels right.

Built to Last with Proper Care

We usually steer patients toward implants when preserving bone is the top priority. That said, bridges still play a real role in restorative dentistry. Plenty of patients choose one because the upfront cost is lower, or because they’ve had a bridge before and it served them well for years. Take care of it properly, with routine visits and good home care, and a bridge can easily last around twenty years, sometimes longer.
Want extra peace of mind? Ask about our optional Smile Protection warranty, which covers your restoration for approximately six years in case something unexpected comes up.
