Dentures in Spring
Finding the Right Denture Option
Losing your natural teeth is a lot to process. Most patients tell us the hardest part isn’t even the physical adjustment; it’s figuring out which option actually makes sense for them. Full dentures, partials, implant-supported—the right fit depends on your oral health, your goals, and honestly just how you live day to day.
Choosing the Best Fit for Your Smile
Full dentures replace an entire arch, top or bottom. Partials work when you’ve still got healthy teeth worth keeping in place. Implant-supported dentures tend to hold steadier and chew stronger, with less shifting around during the day. Dr. Landry looks at your teeth, gums, bite, and jaw at your Discovery Visit, then talks through what you’re hoping for before landing on a recommendation. Got dentures already that feel loose or worn out? Bring them by. Sometimes an adjustment or reline is all that’s needed. Sometimes it’s time for something new. Gums and jawbone shift over the years, so this kind of upkeep is just part of owning dentures, not a red flag.
What to Expect Along the Way
How long the process takes really varies; it depends on the denture type, whether teeth need to come out first, and how your mouth heals. Generally, it starts with a Discovery Visit, digital impressions, and a plan mapping out each stage. Most people go through three or four appointments, measurements, fittings, final placement, plus a follow-up or two if something needs tweaking. Eating and talking with new dentures takes practice. Give it time. It’s rarely instant; most patients need a few weeks before things feel natural again. We’ll walk you through what to expect, give you real home-care guidance, and stay in your corner for follow-ups while you adjust. If your dentures need a reline or adjustment down the road, that’s a normal part of the process too, and we’ll help you stay on top of it.
