Tooth Extractions & Wisdom Teeth Removal in Spring

illustration of wisdom tooth in a persons jawWhen a tooth can’t be saved, or your wisdom teeth are causing concern, timely removal can help prevent more serious problems later. At Consultants in Dental Aesthetics, we perform a range of extractions in our office, from straightforward removals to more complex surgical procedures. Our goal is to make the process comfortable and straightforward, so you’ll understand your options and know what to expect.

Dr. Michael Landry carefully evaluates each patient to determine whether an extraction is the right solution and whether it can be completed in our office. For more complex situations, such as fully impacted wisdom teeth or multiple extractions, we work closely with trusted local oral surgeons to help ensure you receive care suited to your needs.

Wisdom Teeth Evaluations for Long-Term Oral Health

We begin monitoring wisdom teeth as soon as you become a patient. While some people never experience problems with their third molars, others develop crowding, impaction, infection, or damage to neighboring teeth. We often recommend a focused evaluation during the high school or college years, when wisdom teeth are more likely to create concerns. By monitoring their development and recommending removal only when appropriate, we can often reduce the risk of complications and make recovery easier. If your wisdom teeth may cause problems, we’ll explain your options and help you choose the approach that fits your needs.

Comfort-Focused Care From Start to Finish

Before your procedure, Dr. Landry will review your imaging, answer questions, and discuss sedation options. We offer nitrous oxide for mild relaxation, oral conscious sedation for moderate anxiety, and in-office IV sedation for more involved procedures. If you choose oral or IV sedation, we’ll schedule a preoperative visit to review the process and complete informed consent while you’re fully alert. After your extraction, we’ll provide recovery instructions, guidance on eating and caring for the area, and access to our team if questions arise.
